In reply to the second paragraph of your Despatch No. 378 of the 12th November last, I have the honour to inform you that I have caused the Pension Minute to be amended in the manner indicated in your Despatch No. 79 of the 9th March, 1901, and have now the honour to transmit for your information the enclosed six copies thereof, which will be found to contain all the amendments suggested.

2.

Advantage has been taken in the revision to define 'long service' in Rule No. 1 (3) and to insert under Rule No. 8 a clause fixing £1,000 as the maximum limit of any pension.
